Harava Solar Park – Phase 1
Will generate at least 20MW from solar power.
Currently under construction on 40Ha of communal land under a 25-year lease.
50% complete and is expected to be completed and commissioned by 31 December 2022 at a total cost of US$30 million (US$1,500,000 per MW).
Expected to generate approximately 40GWh per year powering over 40 thousand households.
Has generated over 200 rural jobs during the ongoing construction period.
Harava Solar Park – Phase 2
This will be an expansion of Phase 1 above and will increase generation by 20MW to 40MW.
Phase 2 will be completed at an estimated cost of US$20 million (US$1,000,000 per MW), since other critical infrastructure like a transmission line, and substations would have been constructed under Phase 1.
A licensed 30MW AC Solar PV project located in Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe.
The project is at mid-stage development phase.
The power plant will evacuate power into the National Grid, feeding into Dema main substation.
Power shall be sold pursuant to a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with the Zimbabwe Utility (ZETDC).
